The Métairie clinic is a clinic of 75 beds which provides integrated psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatments for the whole spectrum of psychiatric disorders.

Specific programmes
Specific, structured programmes exist for:
• addictions (alcohol, cocaine, heroine, and others)
• eating disorders
• mood disorders
• geriatric psychiatry

Other disorders, psychosis and dementia
Care is also provided for patients suffering from other psychiatric disorders, including psychoses and dementias, for which specific, individualized treatment programmes are established.

Medical treatment strategies
The care provided integrates the knowledge of biological psychiatry, cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic and systemic psychotherapy approaches.

Paramedical approaches
The paramedical approaches available are work therapy, art therapy, techniques mobilizing the body, massage therapy, physical therapy and development of psychomotor skills. A balneotherapy centre is under construction

Day case hospital
An ambulatory care centre is open 5 days a week to provide patients with intensive treatment. Among the services provided, individual psychiatric evaluations are available for other medical specialties. Charges for outpatient services are calculated according to standard insurance policy rates.
