Caring for addictions
Certain substances (alcohol, anxiolitic drugs, cocaine, and others…) can lead to addictions. An addiction monopolises your time and forces you to limit your social, professional and family lives, with negative consequences on your physical and emotional health. As a result, a withdrawal programme or a detoxification treatment may be necessary.
The goal of the programme at the ADU (Addiction Diseases Unit), which lasts from 4 to 6 weeks, is abstinence. It is not only based on group and individual therapies, but also on recent medical knowledge about addictions and withdrawal. During the stay, support is also provided for family and friends who often suffer from co-addictions.
Since your willpower alone is often not enough, our entire team is there to support you over the course of your treatment.
We will arrange for a first appointment to evaluate the care you need and its length, giving you the opportunity to visit the medical centre as well. If you live far away, this interview can take place over the phone. This step is indispensable to the beginning of our therapeutic cooperation, which will continue with a withdrawal programme and multidisciplinary care.
During your stay, we will provide you with a wide array of care options, from daily hygiene to specialised medical, psychological evaluations. Going further than a simple detoxification treatment, our withdrawal programme and treatment for alcoholism and other substance abuses is built around team dynamics complemented by individual care.
We can also meet with your loved ones to provide them with information. After spending time in our establishment, you and your family and friends can take advantage of post-treatment support. Weekly outpatient meetings, if you live near the medical centre, or 3 three-day stays within the medical centre will be scheduled over a period of 11 months.
Although confidentiality is the rule in our establishment, we can also honour your request for complete anonymity. We remain at your disposal for any additional medical or administrative information.
