The outpatient centre

The Métairie has an outpatient care centre that is open 5 days per week. Dr. Manuel Alvarez, FMH in Psychiatry-Psychotherapy is in charge of this centre.
It is made up of three units

1. day case hospital

It is intended for :
• patients who need to reinforce a psychiatric treatment after a period of hospitalisation,
• vulnerable patients who require an intensive follow-up in order to avoid hospitalisation.

The day case hospital also provides:
• care from a pluridisciplinary staff
• an individual approach and a group approach
• an array of psycho-somatic care options
The care programme is organized according to the therapeutic community model.

2. Evaluation and crisis unit

This structure provides support to physicians and loved ones by making it possible to provide an interview of evaluation and diagnostic counselling for a patient within the 24 hours following a request.

3. Burn-out unit

This unit provides not only medical- psychological evaluations concerning burn-out, but also provides the possibility of individual and group follow-up care.
All the outpatient services are reimbursed by basic insurance policies.
